Controlling the spread of IAV-S

Methods of preventing the spread of influenza among swine include facility management, herd management, on-farm policies regarding visitors, and vaccination. An effective approach to influenza A virus in swine (IAV-S) control and prevention involves all of these as part of an overall herd health management program.1 When caring for infected animals, there are also biosecurity measures to consider.
